Chances are, if you're visiting this website you're here because a friend has recommended us - we don't do big advertising campaigns or billboards - we prefer to build our business completely around our reputation.
Honesty, integrity and attention to the smallest of details is what sets us apart and the reason why our business is successful. Quite simply, we are perfectionists and get a huge amount of pride from a beautiful end result. But more than that, home building isn't just a job to us, it's an opportunity to usher families through what can be a stressful process with the confidence that our team will be there with them every step of the way.

Brandon Drake, Owner
Brandon brings over 30 years of construction experience to Drake Build. At the age of 16 he fell in love with the process of home building while working after school and on weekends for a local builder in his small home town of Alice, located in South Texas.
A few years later Brandon headed off to Texas A&M University, where he earned a degree in Construction Science with a Business minor. College Station is also where he met his wife, Christian, a Business major whose family roots were deeply intertwined with Austin construction through an old family business, Calcasieu Lumber Company.
Brandon and Christian headed to Austin as soon as they graduated from Texas A&M. Together they bought and renovated several houses for themselves while Brandon worked in commercial construction for 16 years. During this time, they grew their family to include a son, Grant and daughter Harper.
While working in commercial construction was often exciting and at times high-profile, Brandon ultimately wanted to focus on the heart and soul involved in the residential construction process. The feeling of handing keys over to a family so that they could build a life in a space that he had helped to create was ultimately a much more meaningful experience and one that has ended up being his true calling.
Together with Christian and a strong support staff, Brandon has grown Drake Build into one of Austin's most respected residential construction companies with projects all over the city.
